Hi everyone. I hope you are all doing good, and looking forward to the weekend. Today I thought I would delve into my beauty stash and give you a peek into my Benefit collection. Its not a huge collection and I hope to perhaps be getting some more soon, but hopefully it will inspire you to perhaps find something you may want to purchase.
First up is a kit that I purchased off QVC about 9 months ago, and as you can see I have hardly used it at the moment, but it is now on my dressing table, ready for me to use when doing my make up first thing in the morning. I have swatched the Dandelion blusher and it is a beautiful colour, really peachy and delicate.
I LOVE this mascara, this is only a miniature of it, but I am on my 3rd tube and it is fantastic. It gives great volume and length to your lashes, but does not make them go clumpy which is always an important factor in my choice of mascaras. Another thing I love about it is that it is jet black in colour and so really makes your lashes stand out.
Now if you have been a follower of my blog for a while you will know that I swear by this primer. This was the first ever primer that I had tried and it just totally blew me away. It didn't feel sticky or leave your face feeling greasy, and my make up just glided on effortlessly over the top. I do tend to have quite large pores on my nose and on my chin, but when I have used this it really helps to minimise the look of them. This is my 2nd repurchase of this, and wont be my last.
This Coralista blush is really nice. A lot deeper in tone than the Dandelion blush, but still a really great product and as long as you blend it in well, looks really natural and can be made to look as if you have been out in the sun and your skin has a delicate glow to it.
Hoola Bronzer is one of my holy grail items in my ENTIRE make up collection. It is just an amazing all round product. It works fantastically as a bronzer, but then again it can also be used on the eyes as an eye shadow when you just want a quick easy look. It doesn't have too much orange or grey in it which some bronzers can tend to do, and I am sure that within the next couple of months I will be hitting pan on this.
Yes, I know I own too many blushes from Benefit, but when you know they are made to such good standards then I dont mind investing my money into products that give outstanding results. Because, lets face it Benefit are not the cheapest make up brand out there, but the quality is second to none. This Rockateur blush is well known throughout the whole entire beauty community because it is such a beautiful rosy pink shade and has a subtle shimmer to it, that in some cases you may not even need to wear a highlight as it can double for both.
To be fair, I was a little dubious about buying this foundation, because I suffer with oily skin, I really did not want a very natural looking foundation, and because it says brightening I was worried that it would make me look more oily than I really am. But, I needn't have worried, it is a lovely product and goes on beautifully with a beauty blender, which I have been preferring to use with this product over a normal foundation brush.
Last, but not least I thought I would save the product I just cant seem to work for me till now. It is a stick form of primer and you are supposed to just swipe it across your face, down your cheeks and along your forehead and chin and then apply your foundation over the top of it. Now, I have tried this 3 or 4 times and each time I have found that my foundation just wont apply smoothly over the top of it. I have tried it with lots of different types and brands of but it seems to get stuck on the parts where I have placed the primer and then, not blended out. So, not very impressed but I will keep working with it and if I can get it to work for me in another way, I will certainly let you all know first.
Well, that's my Benefit collection, I hope you have enjoyed reading it, and let me know if I have inspired you to be popping over to your local Benefit counter this weekend.
