My First Make Up Revolution Haul

For months and months, if you have been  prowling the internet you will no doubt have heard about the brand Make Up Revolution. Bloggers, and YouTubers alike have been going crazy over the amazing colours of the eyeshadow palettes, how they are so inexpensive and how they are dupes for some of the more High End palettes. They also have been raving about their lipsticks only being £1!!! Yes you heard me right, a highly pigmented lipstic range for a mere £1. I was determined that I was not going to cave, and buy more products from a brand that I did not know all that well. But, after weeks of "Shall I? Shan't I?" pondering, I finally caved and purchased a 100 eyeshadow palette, a gorgeous  Halloween style palette, a highlighter, which is simply stunning, and a beautiful Berry coloured lipstick, which is so perfect for the trends at the moment.

It is beautiful to apply, and looks absolutely stunning. I think everyone of any skin tone could wear this shade as it is so universally flattering, and to be honest is a great dupe for Mac's Rebel lipstick and to be honest I think the name of the Make Up Revolution lipstick kind of gives the game away with this lipsticks name "Rebel With A Cause"

This is such a beautiful highlighter, and really gives the top of your cheekbones a beautiful sheen without making you look like a total glitterball. The shimmers are not too chunky either and so the effect is much more subtle than you get with some much more expensive highlighters. I also think that this product would look great, used as an eyeshadow too, as it could be a quick one sweep across the lids look, and you are done. Now onto the things that I am in love with the most, and that is the two eyeshadow palettes. Please do not ask me why I decided to buy another palette when I had already purchased the 100 eyeshadow palette, because anyone in their right mind, would know that it will take, months, no lets face it years for me to go through all those colours, but the eyeshadow addict within me, just kept whispering "I need it, I need it" and I just caved.

Look how beautiful this palette is. I have not used it yet, but once I have I will do a full review, on how they wear, swatches of all the individual colours, what the pigmentation is like, and my overall thoughts, but my first impressions are all positive. I love that there is a good mix of both shimmer and matte shades, so there is something to suit everyone.

The Nudes part of the palette

The Smoked part of the palette. To be honest, this photo does not do the shimmers in the palette justice. When certain colours hit the light, the shimmer and shine you get off them is phenomenal and really blew me away when I first saw it. As with the other palette, I will again do a full review and demonstration of all the beautiful swatches.

Now onto prices
Highlighter - £3.00 and comes in 3 shades pink, peach, and golden.
Lipstick - £1.00 and comes in 36 shades.
100 eyeshadow palette - £12.00
Give Them Nightmares Palette - £6.00

See what I mean about bargains, the prices are so low, it is shocking. Fantastic products and I cannot wait to review them for you. Let me know in the comments what other products from the range I should try, and I will definitely do that. I hope you enjoyed this post.

Till next time,

November 2014 Favourites

This month I have basically been wearing and using the same things. As explained before in a previous post, I had been feeling very low and in a "I cant be bothered mood". So I just tried to stick to the same products as I just didnt want to be hunting through drawers and boxes of make up all over the place. In the shower I have just been using this huge bottle of Soap And Glory's Orangeasm and Lush's Snow Fairy. Mainly the Soap and Glory in the mornings as it is so fruity and  really wakes you up in those dark, miserable mornings. This huge bottle will last me forever and looks really pretty on the bathroom shelf.
Another reason I love this shower gel, is because of the pump dispenser. It may be only a small factor but for someone like me who has arthritis and struggles to open lids and squeeze tubes, a pump really helps and makes using products a real breeze. For body lotion, I have only used this a couple of times, but I LOVE it, and it is the Sanctuary Comforting Night Butter. You are supposed to only use it at night to help you relax and fall asleep easier, but I have used it in the morning and it has been lovely every time.

It is a rich, thick consistency and really applies nicely without leaving your skin sticky and uncomfortable. It smells so nice and really makes putting on a body lotion a nice experience as if you are really treating your skin to a pampering session. I have enjoyed using these products as they have really been helping me to relax and not get anxious so much, and helping me feel better about myself. Lately, I have just been wearing a very neutral nude lip, as I just did not want anything to attract people's attention to me and so I have been wearing Mac's Creme De Nude lipstick. This lipstick is just so easy to apply and does not take any real effort at application. one quick swipe and you are good to go.
With my perfume, I have been relying on either Britney Spear's Fantasy or my Juicy Couture perfume. If you remember last year when I first started blogging, the Juicy Couture bottle was nearly full, and so I made it one of my tasks for this year  to wear this as much as possible, so I got some good use out of it, because I have so many perfumes, that are just sitting in my drawer, that I really want to start getting some use out of them.

Look, it is nearly at the bottom!! I'm sad I know but I feel a great sense of accomplishment when I have used up a whole product. My go to eyeshadow palette has been the Stila In The Light palette, I have been loving all the neutral shades in it. I have been mostly wearing the brown matte shades, but a couple of times I used the shimmery shadows at the bottom row of the palette, and recieved some nice comments on how lovely my make up looked.
Sorry about how messy the palette looks, but at least you can tell I use it a lot. Now onto my mascara, and yes you have guessed it I am going to be talking about my Younique 3D Fibre Lash Mascara. It is a fantastic product, and I have worn it ever since. It is a great product, and have really been enjoying it. Everyone who I has bought it, has also raved about it too. There are two tubes in the case, one is a transplanting gel which you apply to your lashes first, and then immediately while the gel is still wet, is to apply a THIN layer of the fibres (which is the second tube in the case) and then seal with another coat of the transplanting gel. Then you can apply as many layers as you want to get the desired effect, but I have only ever used 2 layers of it, and my lashes have looked fantastic. If you would like to own your own mascara and try it for yourself, please visit www. youniqueproducts.com/zoearcher.
I hope you have had a fab November and let me know in the comments if you have tried any of these products and what you thought of them.

Love and Hugs.

Snow Fairy Shower Gel by Lush review

At Xmas time the best place to find festive bathtime products is at Lush. They re release limited edition products that you can only find at this time of the year. Snow Fairy shower gel is one of them. Now when I was younger, I could not stand the smell of the Lush stores, even just from just walking past them, so there was no way you would have found me even contemplating walking in there as it would have resulted in giving me an ear splitting headache. But about 18 months ago, I decided to brave the smell as I had heard so many people raving about Lush and their amazing products, and how right they were. Ever since I have been addicted and everytime I go to town, I have to make a visit to the Lush store. Lush's products are fantastic,I have tried lots, from face toners, to soaps, to bath bombs to shower products and the Snow Fairy shower gel is one of my very favourites. I just have the miniature bottle at the moment, but don't worry I will be stocking up on the full size very soon. After purchasing a bottle of Snow Fairy last year, and falling in love with it, I just knew I had to repurchase it, when I received an email from Lush, stating that their xmas products were now in store.

It is housed in a plastic bottle, which is fantastic as it can be recycled and all of Lush's products are made by hand using the freshest products and it even comes with a use by date and a manufacturing date too so that you know it is as fresh a product as can be.
The main body of the shower gel is pink and when you catch it under the light it has a tiny little bit of sparkle within it, so it is sure to please any young girl when finding this as one of their xmas presents. The smell, is very sweet and is quite reminiscent of the pear drop sweets and also has a hint of banana to it, as my little boy came up the stairs and said to me this morning "I can smell bananas mom, where is that nice smell coming from?", and it was from the bathroom where I had only just got out of the shower after using it.
The bottle comes with a dispenser which makes the shower gel easy to dispense onto your sponge/flannel. You only need such a tiny amount and it bubbles up beautifully. So if you like your shower gels to really lather up, then this is the shower gel for you.
It costs £3.75 for a 100ml bottle which is a fantastic price I think for a beautiful product like this, that only is released once a year, so if I were you and you have not yet tried it, I really think you need to, or at the very least add it to your Christmas wishlist.

I hope you have enjoyed this post, and let me know in the comments if there are any products that you would like me to review for you, and I will certainly do it.

Fantasy by Britney Spears review

I know, I know, it is a celebrity perfume, we are bound to hate it right?!? This is so not the case with this darling of a fragrance from the Britney Spears range. Fantasy was the second release from Britney, and for me the best out of all of those that she has produced.. It is very sweet smelling perfume, which I tend to prefer in my perfumes, but it is not that strong that it will give you a mind bending migraine, but it is fragrant enough that when you spritz this over your neck, wrists and clothes, people will definitely comment and ask "What perfume are you wearing?" and when I reply it is a Britney Spears perfume, everyone always tends to look very shocked, that a perfume from someone in the public eye would actually release a perfume that smells so good.

Just look at the bottle, bright pink in colour with lime green dots sporadically placed all over it. The neck of the bottle is just beautiful too, with little pink crystals encrusted all over it. I think with the look of the bottle, that any teenage girl would love to have it on their dressing table, but then a middle aged lady like myself also loves to display it on her vanity table. I bet you are thinking that it is expensive because it is a celebrity fragrance, it really is not. For 100mls of eau de parfum, it costs £19.99 in some retail outlets. Now for me that is a huge bargain, because this bottle will last you so long because once you have sprayed it on yourself before work, you can still smell it on your clothes when getting ready to go out in the evening.

I totally recommend you trying this perfume out as it really is a beautiful fragrance and for that price, how can you go wrong, and would make an ideal gift for any girl/womans Christmas present.

I hope you have enjoyed this post, feel free to let me know if there are any other perfumes you would like to me to review and I will certainly do that for you.

Where Have I Been?

Hi everyone. I am sorry I have been gone for so long, but today I have took the plunge and I am going to try to explain a little on why I have been away, and I am going to try and be back to blogging regularly.

To be honest, I am a really very shy, nervous and anxious person and about 3 weeks ago, everything just seemed to get too much, and I just felt like running away from everything and everybody. When this happens, I normally just want to lock myself away in my house, shut the curtains, not go online and just withdraw into myself. This is what happened, I just felt I could not live up to what everyone was asking of me, and also, I had put myself out there with my Younique business, and I had had about 25 people say they were interested and only 5 people have so far ordered. I recieved criticism for posting on Facebook, I got laughed at by moms in the playground when I tried to promote it, and to be honest I felt like a huge failure.

It is so hard, when you put your all into something, and when in the past, you have supported others in their ventures, for them to openly ridicule you for trying to make a business work, just made me so mad. I felt like everyone was taking and no one was willing to help me. I felt like I was just stupid for trying and felt like there was a big black cloud over me, and no matter what I tried to do, I could not seem to lift it.  Others that had joined Younique were selling way more than me and I just could not get the sales and so I just gave up.It was as if life was going on around me, but I had no place or point in anything any more. So, I retreated into myself and just did not join in anything and tried to just disappear.

But, my partner and my close friends have helped me to try and come out from under my cloud. I am still battling on and I keep trying to whisper my mantra "what does not kill you makes you stronger" but at times, I just want to break down and cry, and never get out of my bed again. I have to keep going, if not for me, then for my little boy and partner who have been my towers of strength these past few weeks. So, to help me try and get back to "normal" and to help me regain a little confidence, I thought I would try to get back into blogging, and working on my make up and beauty which I love and so this will hopefully help me to come right out from under my cloud. It is so hard to keep smiling when all you feel like doing is lying on the floor and shouting "I give up" but I will keep going, I must keep going and hopefully things will get a little easier.

I think I am going to start a positivity journal too, to try and make me see that things are not all bad and with the love and support from my family and friends and readers, hopefully, everything will start to feel better. I have just got to take it second by second, minute by minute and this way, I will make it through each day.

I want to thank you for sticking by me and reading my blog, and even commenting as I am sure this will help keep me going in the days and weeks ahead.

Mememe Cosmetics And Their Amazing Goody Bag

This past Sunday I was lucky enough to be invited to a FABB bloggers event, held at The Custard Factory. There was a lot of amazing brands there showcasing the wonderful products that they sell. We were able to talk to the people from behind the brand and learn about the products and how they are made, and the ingredients used. One of the brands there was Mememe Cosmetics. They had an amazing display of their products, here are just a couple of photos to illustrate how lovely the products all looked.

Whilst at the stand, I was lucky enough to speak to Tia, who told me more about the range and their background and was handing out goody bags to everyone. Because the event was so busy, with so much to see, and people to speak to, I didn't really pay much attention to the goody bag until I got home and all I can say is WoW!!!! So many products to look at and try and I am so impressed with the products. First up was a scented candle, and you know how I love my candles, so this will be getting plenty of use.

It smells quite luxurious and spicy, totally perfect for a pamper evening, and I can't wait to use it. Next out of the bag was a MeMeMe Satin lip creme in the shade Ruby Rich 06. I totally adore this colour, and I know I will be getting so much use out of it in the coming weeks. It is a true classic red, like the old Hollywood starlets used to wear.It does have a scent to it, but nothing too offputting or strong. It is very creamy to apply and does not drag on the lips, and is very moisturising, because it has the added benefits of vitamin E and shea butter added into the ingredients.

Out of the goody bag next was a dew pot, which is a cream eyeshadow. I love cream shadows as they can either be used as an eyeshadow base, for a normal eyeshadow to be applied on top of, or they can be used as a stand alone shadow.Don't you just love multi use products?as you are getting more product for your money. The colour I recieved is a gorgeous silvery blue, and will look great for any wintery looks I want to create.

Out next was a mascara. I have to say I love the packaging that all the Mememe Cosmetics products are in, just looks so classy and elegant, and more expensive than they are.

It is a lengthening mascara, and has fibres in it to create that length and volume. It is a really nice mascara, and one I will definitely be wearing a lot. I will say the one thing I did happen to notice, was that it has quite a strong fragrance to it, and so may not be suitable for people with sensitive eyes. In the bag also, was a nail buffer and an emery board, which are great additions to any girls make up bag.

The bag felt like a Mary Poppins bag, and the products just kept coming and coming, we were so lucky to receive so many great things. Up next was a tinted moisturiser in the colour Beige Blush 02. The tube contains 30 mls of product and will last good amount of time. When using this, I straight away noticed how silky the product felt when I was buffing it into my skin. I have applied it with my fingers, a beauty blender, and a Real Techniques Foundation brush, and each time, it applied really well.As with other products I have tried from their range, this contains an SPF 15, which is a real bonus. It does not contain any alcohol and is fragrance free which is perfect for those with sensitive skin.
Then there was a boxed blush, which is very, very similar to the Benefit boxed blushes, and comes complete with a brush to apply the product with.

It is a beautiful product, I will say that you have to apply a little more than normal as it is such a delicate pink, so if you like a light blush than this is perfect for you. It does look beautiful on the cheeks though and for me is exactly like a Benefit blush but cheaper in price..Yes, there is still more to come, next was a face cream called Seventh Heaven. It is encased in a beautiful plastic tub, so it is perfect for travelling with.It also comes with a plastic stopper to ensure the face cream does not leak or spill out of the tub. It is very silky, and is quite sweetly scented with lime, lemon, orange and mandarin. You can either apply it before putting on your make up, or just wear it alone.

I have saved the best till last. At first glance I thought  it was just a simple old lip gloss, like every brand has in their range. How wrong could I be? The lipgloss is called "Light Me Up" which I thought was just the name, but it wasn't. As you undo the lid, an actual white light comes on to help you apply the gloss a little easier. The applicator is a doe foot shape which allows the lipgloss  to apply smoothly. I recieved a milky pink shade, which shimmers and gleams in the light. It has such a pretty shine to it. and is not sticky at all.

I am so excited to say that I have a huge offer for you, my loyal readers that if you visit www.mememecosmetics.com and would like to purchase something I have a voucher code which is mememe25 and you will get 25% off whatever you buy. All you need to do when you are ready to checkout is just type in the code.

I just want to say thankyou to Mememe Cosmetics for all the products I received in my goody bag. The products I totally love, high end products for a drugstore price range. I intend to be purchasing more from their website very soon and really increase my Mememe collection.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing the products and hope you take advantage of the discount code available. Let me know what you get if you do decide to purchase anything.
